It's Father's Day weekend, so that means it's time for the annual Street Rod Classic & Custom car show! It's a ton of fun and a great way to spend an afternoon!! Here's a few snapshots of the day.
Southern Pacific Steam Locomotive Engine 4449 . Who doesn't love leather & chrome.
My BFF from OKC flew home today & I miss her already!! We had a blast this week!!!! The weather was on the damp & drizzley side, but we still managed to enjoy some great outdoor fun! Here's a little glimps into how were spent some of our time together. It was especially nice that my hubby could take a few days off and play with us too!!!!
We had a fun day playing at the beach and riding on the sand dunes.
OMG!!!!!!!!!! We found the yummiest Black Licorice ice cream on the planet!!!!! YUM-O!!!!
Fishing on the lake with Skipper Dave and limiting out!!!
We were hoping to catch a glimps of our local celebraties from Little People, Big World!!!
We spent one day hiking through Silver Falls state park. The weather wasn't the best, but the scenery is spectacular!! The park is filled with over 9000 lush green acres, wildlife, and contains 10 different water falls; some of which you can walk behind.
A relaxing day filled with some girlie fun! Shopping, eating lunch with my youngest daughter, plus a manicure & pedicure.....SWEET!!!
The June Kit from My Creative Scrapbook has to be one of my favorites so far, and it features papers from Little Yellow Bicycle! These are a few creations from the kit!
Is it just me, or is there something magical about Red shoes???? Perhaps it's due to my love for Dorothy, Toto, and the whole Wizard of OZ thing. Anyway I just adore red shoes! I am constantly on the quest to find comfortable....not old lady sensible type shoes....but comfy & cute, stylish shoes. After 4 foot surgeries and the 5th one looming.....having comfortable SHOES is a necessity. I love the whimsical design stamped across the toes. Look as if shoe designers are gathering inspiration from all us scrapbookers...hee hee!!
OK, so super dorky picture of us, I know...but hey....we can still laugh & love...so it's all good!! Today we celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary!!! It was such a great day.....nothing fancy mind you....just an ordinary day that was truly wonderful! The weather was warm, which allowed us to catch up on tons of mowing around the place. Late in the afternoon we stopped by to visit a friend who happens to be a very gifted artisan/glass blower. We hung out at his studio for a while and watched him work on a piece for a local winery. (I'm forcing myself to use my new camera in manual mode...big mistake, as all my shots at the studio came out too dark....oh well, guess we'll just have to go back another day) For dinner we drove into town to eat at a local resturaunt...nothing fancy, just good food at an affordable price. The evening ended with a rare, but spectacular thunder storm! I love storms!! It was the perfect ending to an already perfect day!!
I love crafting & creating! Whether it's fabric, fiber, paper or glass, I always have some sort of project going. Scrapbooking allows me to combine my love for photography with my passion for creating.
Thanks so much for stopping by! ♥
