Fun with Basic Grey

The other day I had several hours in between doctor visits, and since I was a long ways from home, with time to kill, I decided to visit a LSS. I just couldn't resist this adorable card kit from Basic Grey. I love their new Wassail collection. I actually made these cards while sitting in my car waiting for the time to pass. This kit was super quick & easy!!
This week over at the Basic Grey challenge blog, the challenge is to make a Christmas card! Wow!! How fun is that!!

October's kits from My Creative Scrapbook

This month I had the pleasure of working with 2 kits from My Creative Scrapbook. The "Main Kit" and the "Creative Kit"; both of which are awesome!!

For these projects I used the Main kit which features papers from the Bo Bunny Splendor collection. The tags were perfect for making this little recipe booklet. Zva crystals, Kaiser Rub-ons, and a Scrapworks Font Folder (these rock btw), plus tons of ribbon are also included in your kit.








The wonderful warm colors of Basic Grey's Ambrosia are found in the "Creative Kit". This kit also includes some gorgeous Zva crystals, chipboard alphas and much more. I love these warm colors and think they are perfect for Fall.

Waahooooo!!!!

OMG!!!! Yesterday morning was filled with anticipation. It was registration day for Karen Russell's Online Photographer's Workshop! I was glued to the computer waiting for 9am to roll around so I could hopefully get a spot before they all sold out!! I have been waiting for months & months for another registration day to open up. Well, yesterday all her classes sold out in under 2 minutes!!! 2 MINUTES!!!! But guess what? This time I got in!!!!! Woohoo!! I am SO EXCITED!!! I feel like I won the lottery!!! Classes will start in a few months!! Wow!! I can hardly wait!! I'm all giddy inside.....I'm so excited!!

New York Baby!!

My daughter is home safe and sound from her trip to New York. A dream of her's was to attend a ball game at Yankee Stadium. Living on the West coast makes this quite a journey. She work's full time, plus is a full time student, and she has been scrimping & saving for this trip for a very long time. I'm so proud of her! They really enjoyed the game at Yankee Stadium, toured Central Park, and Time Square. Then they were off to Kansas City to visit friends and another Baseball game! She had a blast!!!

Pink Paislee in the House

This month Pink Paislee is hangin' at My Creative Scrapbook!! If you want a great kit at a great value, hurry on over, because they are going fast!! Also included are some great Jenni Bowlin papers, Maya Road mask and an adorable chipboard house by Inque Boutique.

On my "Beloved" layout I used the MR mask and sprayed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (not included). The mask is a vinyl material which easily wipes clean, and has a variety of uses. The Last Lecture

Today I read "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausche for the third time. This book is particularly meaningful to me since we lost a family member to pancreatic cancer. After taking time away from our jobs & lives to provide continuous care for our dying loved one, it proved to be one of the most valuable gifts life has ever offered us.

'The Last Lecture' will surely touch your heart.
I admire Randy Pausche for his strength & inspiration and for sharing the final stages of his life. He gave this powerful speech in May to the Graduating Class of 2008 at Carnegie Mellon. It is very inspirational and worth a listen.
