I had my first post-op appointment today. It felt good to have the cast off even if only for a few moments. The doctor took off my cast, cleaned up my foot from the residual bleeding, and then the nurse took these snapshots for me. Looks gross I know!!!! The top doesn't feel that bad, but the bottom incision flippin' hurts!! Big time Ouchie!! I have on a new split cast which should accommodate for swelling. Will return to the doctor in two weeks and at that time they will remove the stitches and probably put me in a walking cast or boot. In the mean time, I am to lay low with my foot above my heart. Man I hope this is the last time I ever have to go through this, hopefully the 5th time is the charm.

Aww, you poor honey. It's a little gross, I guess, but not too terribly bad. I'm just sorry you're still in so much pain. I hope it goes away soon for you. :)
OMG, I feel for you. I had double bunion surgery about 5 years ago, so I had both feet with stitches and pins (had to do it during off season for ds' baseball!) I remember being nice and chilled for the first couple of days, laying in the bed, watching tv, everyone bringing me food, etc. but OMG, by the 3rd or 4th day I was stirr crazy! I even had Jenna bring me my scrap stuff and tried to scrap in bed!!! Take care! Hope this works out for you this time!!!
Ugh, you poor thing!! I'm so sorry you have had to deal with this so many times, I hope this is the last time for you! And it sounds like at least there is an end in sight... hang in there!!

OW!! I had no idea they cut you so much. Poor thing. I wish we were much closer and gas wasn't so ridiculous so we could be there with you.

OMGosh you poor thing!!! I'm sorry but it looks terrible & very painfull! I wish I could help in some way!
